VivaMSc Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the VivaMSc service. By accessing or using VivaMSc, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use features that require an account.
2. Accounts and Security
You must provide accurate information where requested and keep access to your sign-in email or linked Google account secure. You are responsible for activity through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance or a material breach of these Terms. You may stop using VivaMSc at any time and may request deletion of your account in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
3. Service
VivaMSc provides an online service for discovering and comparing UK Master’s programmes and tracking your own applications. VivaMSc is not a university application portal and does not submit applications to universities on your behalf.
4. Programme Information and Advice
We collect programme information such as fees, deadlines, entry requirements and application details from university sources and may label information with a verification status. Universities can change information after we check it, so VivaMSc is not the authoritative record. Before acting on time-sensitive or important information, confirm it on the relevant university’s official website.
VivaMSc does not guarantee admission, eligibility, scholarship outcomes or visa outcomes. Content is for general information and is not legal, immigration, financial or professional admissions advice.
5. Alumni Insights and Content You Submit
Alumni insights reflect the contributor’s experience and opinion, not VivaMSc’s. We may review or edit submissions for clarity, length, formatting, safety and verification, but we do not guarantee that a contribution is complete, accurate or current.
You keep ownership of content you submit. By submitting content for publication, you grant VivaMSc a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, edit for clarity, display and distribute that content as reasonably needed to operate and promote VivaMSc. We will not intentionally change the substance of a personal account without your agreement. You may ask us to remove your published contribution, subject to reasonable legal, archival and backup retention.
Do not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, infringing, abusive, malicious or that improperly reveals another person’s confidential or personal information.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not misuse VivaMSc, including by attempting to access another user’s data, bypassing security controls, introducing malicious code, disrupting the service, impersonating another person, or scraping or copying the service at scale without permission.
7. Intellectual Property and Third Party Material
The VivaMSc name, software, original design and original editorial content are owned by VivaMSc or its licensors. University names, logos, programme material, ranking data and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners and are used only as permitted.
The service may link to university and other third-party websites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. Availability and Changes to the Service
We may change, add or remove features, correct data, or temporarily suspend parts of VivaMSc for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We do not promise that the service will always be available or error-free.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that, VivaMSc is not responsible for losses caused by a university changing information after we checked it, by your failure to verify important information with the official source, by third-party websites or services, or by interruptions outside our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VivaMSc is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Any other limitations or exclusions in these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Fees
VivaMSc is currently free to use. If we introduce a paid feature in future, the price and any additional payment, cancellation or refund terms will be shown before you purchase it. We will not treat a future paid feature as subject to these Terms alone where additional consumer information is legally required.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data in connection with VivaMSc. It applies alongside these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using VivaMSc at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a material breach of these Terms, security concerns, legal requirements or misuse of the service. Where appropriate, we may give notice before termination.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will update the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to bring them to users’ attention. Changes will apply prospectively from the stated effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. If you use VivaMSc as a consumer, you keep any mandatory rights and protections that apply under the laws of the country where you live.
15. General and Contact
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
